PenLog provides software for recording, tracking, and documenting penetration work during ship drydock operations. The software does not:

  • Provide engineering advice or consultation
  • Certify compliance with any regulations or standards
  • Replace professional maritime expertise or judgment
  • Substitute for required inspections or verifications by qualified personnel
  • Guarantee acceptance by flag state authorities or classification societies

User Responsibilities

As a PenLog user, you are responsible for:

  • Data Accuracy: Ensuring all information entered into PenLog is accurate, complete, and current
  • Regulatory Compliance: Understanding and complying with all applicable maritime regulations, flag state requirements, and classification society rules
  • Professional Verification: Having all penetration work inspected and verified by qualified maritime professionals
  • Data Security: Maintaining appropriate access controls and security measures for your PenLog account
  • Backup Documentation: Maintaining appropriate backup records as required by your organization and regulatory authorities

Software Provided "As-Is"

PenLog is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. While we strive to provide reliable, accurate software, we make no warranties or guarantees regarding:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation

  • Fitness for any particular purpose

Data Ownership & Export

All data you enter into PenLog remains your property. You may export your data at any time in standard formats (PDF, Excel). We recommend maintaining regular exports as part of your backup and records management procedures.
